Day 02 : Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve - Buffet breakfast at Intercontinental hotel.
0700 hrs - Morning drive to Samburu game reserve. This drive will take you through the central highlands where you will be able to see large scale coffee, flower and pineapple farming
You will stop briefly at the Equator line for a short demonstration.
1230 hrs - Lunch at Samburu Serena Lodge..
1600 hrs - Afternoon game viewing drive in game reserve in search of wildlife.
Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 03 : Whole day spent in Samburu Game reserve with morning and afternoon game drives.
This semi arid countryside is a bird lover's paradise. The game reserve is also unique as it is home to some wildlife which can only be found here. These are the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe and the gravy's zebra.
Other wild animals including the 'big five' are also found here.
All meals at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 04 : Samburu National Reserve - Aberdares National Park - Breakfast at the lodge.
0800 hrs - Morning drive to the Aberdares national park.
1230 hrs - Lunch at Aberdare Country Club..
Afternoon transfer in hotel vehicles to the Ark.
Afternoon tea, coffee at the Ark.
The Ark is set in thick woodland at the heart of the Aberdare National Park and is designed with numerous viewing decks, balconies and lounges that allow you to watch animals visiting the waterhole and salt lick.
A ground level viewing area provides excellent photographic opportunities and a floodlit waterhole allows all-night game viewing. Dinner and overnight at the tree hotel.
Nb: Only small overnight bags are allowed to the tree hotel. The other luggage will be stored at the base hotel. Children under 7 years are not aloowed in a tree hotel.
Day 05 : Aberdares - Lake Nakuru National Park -
0700hrs - Buffet breakfast at the Ark.
0800hrs - Morning transfer to the Aberdare Country Club to rejoin your driver guide and retrieve your luggage.
0900hrs - Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift Valley.
1230hrs - Lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
1600hrs - Afternoon game viewing drive in the park.
The Lake Nakuru National Park is world famous for the pink flamingos which number thousands upon thousands. The rare black rhino, the white rhino and many other wild animals can also be found here.
There is a very high chance of seeing the nocturnal and very elusive leopard.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day 06 : Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara National Reserve
0700hrs - Breakfast at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
0800hrs - Morning drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya's finest and best known game reserve.
1230hrs - Lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge.
1600hrs - Afternoon game viewing drive.
The greatest attraction in the Mara is watching the animals in their natural element; a lion's roar, a cheetah making a kill, and the big elephant herds are all very fascinating events.
You will also meet the Maasai who are the inhabitants of this reserve and are a proud and largely aloof tribe who have held on to their customs and traditions for hundreds of years.
Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 07 : Maasai Mara National Reserve
Another day spent in the Mara with morning and afternoon game viewing drive in the rolling plains, woodland and rivers that make up the Mara.
There are very high chances of seeing the 'big five'
All meals at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 08 : Maasai Mara - Nairobi - Depart
0700hrs - Breakfast at Mara Sopa Lodge.
0800hrs - Drive out of the Mara headed for Nairobi, game viewing drive.
As you climb the eastern wall of the Great Rift Valley, your drive guide will stop at strategic viewpoints for photography.
Lunch on own arrangements on arrival in Nairobi.
After lunch we will transfer you to the airport for your final departure flight OR you could have a beach holiday at the coastal town of Mombasa at an extra cost.
