Jabalpur is located in the heart of the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. Situated in the 'Mahakausha Region, the city finds its references in the great epic, “Mahabharata” as tripuri. It is said that the Jabalpur was the native land of the great 'Jabali Rishi' from whom the name Jabalpur is derived. The nomads of Bhil and Gonda tribes were the original inhabitants of Jabalpur. Later on, it became the capital city of the Kaluchri dynasty. The holy river Narmada meandering through Jabalpur is the prime source of drinking water. Flanked by historical buildings and monuments, the city allures a large number of tourists all over the year. Rani Durgawati Memorial, Museum, Madan Mahal fort and the sparkling Marble rocks of Bedhaghat, surrounded by Narmada River are the major tourist attractions of Jabalpur.

Madan Mahal Fort This 900 years old majestic fort is located on a rocky hill. Built in 1116 by the Gond ruler, Raja Madan Shah, the fort offers a panoramic view of the city.
Rani Durgawati Memorial and Museum  Rani Durgawati Memorial was built in the memory of the Durgawati who was born in the famous chandella family in 1524 AD. She was known for her courage and bravery. The Museum named as Rani Durgawati was founded in 1964. It houses fine collection of sculptures, inscriptions and prehistoric relics. It also has a special section dedicated to artifacts and photos of Mahatama Gandhi.
Tilwara Ghat Located on the banks of holy river Narmada, Tilwara Ghat was the place from where the ashes of Mahatama Gandhi were immersed in Narmada. It was also the venue of the open session of Tripuri Congress held in 1939.
Sangram Sagar and Bajnamath Sagram Shah, the famous Gond king, built Sangram Sagar and Bajnamath in1480-1540.
Pisan Hari Jain Temples Situated atop a hill, the dazzling white Pisan Hari Jain Temples are about 150 years old. It is believed that the temples got their name from a poor women who built them from her hard earned money.
