This city is one of the pilgrimage centers of Hindu religion and thousands of tourists from all across the world visit here throughout the year. The main attraction of Madurai is the Meenakshi Temple, dedicated to Lord Sundareshvara. The history of Madurai can be traced back to the 3rd century BC. According to historical evidences, Megasthenes of Greece visited Madurai during that period. The historical records of Madurai prove that the city was under the reign of Pandiya rulers till 920 AD, when the Cholas defeated them. The Cholas ruled for more than 300 years and were overthrown by the Pandiyas in 1223 AD. In 1311, Madurai was attacked by Malik Kafur, general of Alauddin Khilji. Day 1: (Arrive at Chennai or Tirupati) transfer to Tirupati

Day 2: Tirupati to Kanchipuram to Mahabalipuram
Chennai Tirupati Travel and Tours - Breakfast, check out hotel and drive to Mahabalipuram. Enroute stop at Kanchipuram to visit Varadarajar Perumal Temple, Kamatchi Amman Temple. Day 3: Mahabalipuram to Trichy
Chennai Tirupati Tour South India - After breakfast drive to Trichy (300 Kms and 6 Hrs drives). Enroute visit Tanjavor (Ancient capital of chola kings). Including: 9th century Chola Temple of Brihadeeswara (Big Temple) and Thanjavur Palace. Later proceed to Trichy. Day 4: Trichy to Madurai

Check in hotel and later visit Sri Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple, Ayiramkal Mandapam, Golden Lotus Tank, Vasantha Mandapam and Mariamman Teppakkulam and Tiruparankundram rock cut temple. Day 5: Madurai to Rameshwaram (170 Kms / 5 Hrs)
After morning breakfast drive to Rameshwaram and visit Ramnath Swamy temple and Kothandara Swamy temple evening is free for personal activity and overnight at hotel.

Day 6 Rameshwaram to Kanyakumari (310 Kms / 8 Hrs)
After morning Darshan move to Kanyakumari, afternoon check into hotel and enjoy sight seeing of Kumari Amman Temple, Gandhi and Vivekananda, evening enjoy the beautiful sunset and overnight at hotel.
