Antigua & BarbudaAntigua and Barbuda, acclaimed for their marvellous beaches, are always ready to welcome the visitors. The islands have all necessary accoutrements for thrilling activities and sports as well as fun-filled sightseeing. Travel to these islands can be highly satisfying.

Activities Sports
Both the islands, located in West Indies, have complicated coastline of safe harbors and an almost unbroken wall of beautiful coral reef. The winds flowing here fuel one of the world’s most known maritime events, Sailing Week. Trekkers find treasure of secluded, soft beaches on expansive coastline of Antigua. The coral reefs perpetually lure scuba divers and snorkellers. Galley Bay near St. John’s attracts surfers during the winter months and joggers in evening.

Barbuda is also not behind. It has acquired the status of one of the region’s most important bird sanctuaries. Barbuda witnesses relaxed activities like beachcombing, hunting and fishing, or just soaking up the sun. Tourists are also fond of playing games like tennis and snorkelling here.
 

Beaches
The beaches can astound the visitors with their variety. One has to choose from huge array of options. Dickenson Bay and Runaway Bay, located on northwestern coast, are good for those who desire full resort experience. Fort James and Deep Bay. Located near Capital St. John's, are other popular beaches on this coast.

Rendezvous Bay, Fryes Bay, Darkwood Beach and Johnsons Point are located on southwest and south coast. Reaching them is bit tough due to rough travel, but once there, you can relish the marvellous scenery. Half Moon Bay and Long Bay are the stars of East Coast. Half Moon Bay has been developed as a national park and is a nice choice for family outing.

Barbuda beaches are known for long pink and white stretches. Beaches on the eastern shore are very nice for beachcombing. Frigate Bird Sanctuary is an important attraction of Barbuda.

Capital St. John’s
St. John’s is the capital and the largest city of Antigua and Barbuda. Most famous attraction here is St. John’s Cathedral. White towers of this magnificent and evocative structure have dominated the skyline of this beautiful city. St. John’s also provides good dining and shopping facilities.
